Without support, hearing loss can even reduce life expectancy. The price of hearing aid devices is among the biggest obstacles to adequate treatment.

As the biggest telco and a local tech enabler in Saudi Arabia, stc was in a position to help. So, we developed an open-source project that upcycles used phones and turns them into affordable hearing devices.

The first Hearing Trade devices are now in use in Saudi Arabia and distributed to those who can’t afford them.
